I have built a home with another, once or twice or more,
Each time I hoped it would be our lasting haven.
But as seasons changed, rains and hurricanes would come and go,
The homes we built would crumble and leaves us low.
With every heart breaks, came a new wave of sadness,
Fear of new beginnings, facing unknown madness.
But deep down I knew that I couldn’t give up hope.
Building a home requires more than just a will,
It takes patience, understanding, and strength to stay still.
And I have so much to give, I have it all for building the perfect haven for us!
I’ll start with a strong base, a foundation of trust,
Bricks of honesty and loyalty, they’ll never rust.
Walls of clear and open communication,
With windows of empathy and affection.
Roof of compassions to shelter us from the rain,
Door of forgiveness to ease any pain.
Garden of laughter that brightens each day,
And path of gratitude to always find our way.
I’ll keep building homes brick by brick.
Though some may falter, I’ll take it in stride.
