The moon’s gentle glow lit up the sky, casting shadows on my earth below. It was just another night, another shooting star streaked across the sky. It twinkled a light as radiant as ever.
With a heart full of sighs,
I hummed the sweetest song to the star.
Serenaded you under the moonlight. A melody of love sent to the sky above. Hoping it would carry my words across the vastness of space and miles to you.
I even whispered a silent prayer,
All the wishes so bright with all my might. Poured my heart out in each word of prayer. Hoping they would be heard, reach you in the starry night.
The shooting star danced soaring away,
I went for an extra mile to be with it. Just so I could feel the star’s presence as if you embraced these cold shoulders. The warmth, the love that come far from the star.
And as the night turned into dawn, the star left my heart full of love.
